Disembarking the Viking Var on our first excursion

The ship is one year old and is absolutely beautiful with its Danish modern decor. A few stats: the ship is 135 m or 439 ft long (a football field is 300 ft) and 11.45 m or 37 ft wide. We were told that some of the locks are 35 ft wide. Now that's a shoe horn fit for sure!
